Our progress

Since 2013, Operanauts has been dedicated and passionate about sharing the art form of opera directly to young people in Kinshasa, Congo. We have supported over 410 Congolese musicians, providing them with training and resources that they would otherwise have struggled to access. Our productions and concerts have reached over 3,000 audience members worldwide, with our adaptions of two popular productions, Fandango! and La Petite Carmen. Our future plans include the commission of a brand new opera called Luba to be premiered at the Operanauts Music Festival in Kinshasa.

Our Progress for 2023 is:

428

SUPPORTED ARTISTS

We have worked with over 428 talented local musicians, artisans and crew.

250

INDIVIDUAL HOURS OF HEALING

We measure Individual Hours of Healing (IHH) to quantify the time individuals spend in our opera events, gauging their healing impact.

Our programs reach and impact 288 young people per year on average.
