THE ODDS.

Since its independence from colonial rule in 1960, the Democratic Republic of Congo has endured decades of civil war.

Although DR Congo is rich in natural resources, poverty still grips the majority of the nation’s people because of the violence of ongoing wars, lack of infrastructure, political corruption, and centuries of colonial extractions and exploitation.

BEATING THE ODDS.

In the midst of these conditions, the musicians of OPERANAUTS DRC have joined forces to employ opera music making as a tool to heal themselves and their audiences, as well as fostering empathy and community.

WITH YOUR HELP, THEY CAN BEAT THE ODDS.

Through OPERAnauts Inc. you will provide:

  • Musical training and creative support for musician members of OPERANAUTS DRC
  • Contribute to opera production, rehearsal equipment, music scores
  • Guidance for OPERANAUTS DRC leadership as it achieves independence in its programming and fundraising goals
